Anton Moglia

Calligrapher and typographer based in Annecy (FR), Anton explores lettering in all its forms, creating bespoke designs for events events, artistic invitations, signage and brand identities. Anton also leads accessible, collaborative workshops, sharing his knowledge to share his knowledge and discover the richness of calligraphy and typography.

Teaching and Workshop Facilitation

In addition to these activities, I offer training in typography and lettering. I assist freelancers and companies in enhancing their software skills and understanding contemporary graphic trends. I value the responsiveness and engagement of the individuals I mentor, and the various workshops I have led have shown a common desire to reclaim the forms of writing.

Engagement in Collectives

• 2016 — Active Member of the Velvetyne Collective I have been a member since 2016 of the Velvetyne Type Foundry. Founded in 2010, Velvetyne is the first French-speaking type foundry to distribute fonts under a free license — allowing for use, modification, and redistribution, while fostering creation. The workshops it has been leading since 2013 extend its activities into real life. Today, the future of VTF is being actively written as its community and editorial activities buzz more than ever. www.velvetyne.fr (website under update)
• 2017 — Member of the committee for the Rencontres Internationales de Lure Since 2016, I have been a member of the Rencontres de Lure. This volunteer-run association studies writing, its evolution, and its forms (typographic, literary, visual, or digital). For over 70 years, it has been offering opportunities to participate in conferences, follow individual research, and share expertise and ideas. www.delure.org
